Shares your GDI/Host-based Printers

This Combo Print Server allows you to share your GDI printer to all PCs through the network. GDI printers, run in Windows Graphical Device Interface (GDI) protocol. Sometimes GDI printers are called host-based printers because they rely on the host computer (Win2000/XP/Vista) to rasterize pages to an image format, not PostScript or PCL language. Therefore, almost none of Print Servers in the market can support GDI printers. PS-1216U implements a special technology which allows it to communicate with the GDI printer as if it is connected directly to your computer. With the feature, the GDI printer becomes a shared device easily.

Easy Installation and Configuration (with Web-Based Configuration) and fault tolerant upgrades

PS-1216 easy-to-use Windows installation wizard allows quick installation and setup. The print server can also be conveniently configured from any network client with a web-browser. Users don’t have to worry about errors occurring in the midst of an upgrade, thus preventing the print server from operating. The print server's fault-tolerant upgrade function resumes the upgrade should problems occur during the initial upgrade.
