Q:  I use a cable modem to connect to Internet.  The router cannot connect to Internet through the cable modem.  What should I do?

A:  Check the user manual or instruction from your cable modem company.  If the instruction indicates you input a specific computer name (like the user account number) in the computer, you need to input the same computer name in the router configuration.  You can also go to Network in Control Panel and click Identification tab to find out the computer name.
1.  Open the IE with the address http://192.168.123.254.  Login and see the system status.
2.  Click Primary Setup.  Under the WAN type:  Dynamic, there is an optional host name field.   Type the correct computer name.  Then click Save.
3.  Click System Status.  Click the 'Renew' button to reconfiguration.  Now the broadband router should get an IP address from the cable modem.  The IP address will show up in the System Status.
